Most coffee shops are missing something.
It’s beer. It’s always beer. And wine wouldn’t hurt either.
Thankfully, Irving Farms has your back. And they’ve expanded from their West Village headquarters to a shop on the UWS, bringing your coffee, alcohol and craft sandwich cravings to an end all in one place.
You’ll feast on egg infused biscuits or garden fresh salads with your beverage of choice. But if you want a seat on the weekends, get there early as the large café fills up fast and stays full with brunchers, lunchers and writers. The café, as you enter, has a hip vibe set by indie music and the open kitchen décor, but as you move to the back room it becomes more of a study hall, with a large dining room and ample seating.
It’s sort of a reverse mullet – party in the front, business in the back. That idea has legs.
